Our commitment to sustainability

As a business it’s hugely important to us that we take responsibility for our impact on the environment. We believe that if all businesses contribute to positive change and climate solutions, the difference we make would be huge.

Over the years, we’ve been taking lots of small steps to ensure our business is more environmentally conscious. It’s definitely a work in progress but in a way, that’s exactly how it should be – continually assessing our impact to see what more we could be doing.

What we’re currently doing

We aim to offer sustainable solutions for our clients AND reduce our own impact on the environment in the process. Here are some of the things we’ve already implemented:

  • we recommend and work with print suppliers with ethical and sustainable credentials and always look to use sustainable materials wherever possible
  • all office paperwork is recycled and we only print things out if absolutely necessary
  • all our paper is sourced from responsibly managed forests or recycled stocks
  • all our energy is from renewable sources, most of which comes from the solar panels on our office roof
  • all our tea and coffee is fair trade
  • our milk comes in refillable bottles from a farm less than two miles away
  • our toilet paper is 100% recycled
  • we always use refillable soap bottles and soap bars
  • all our food waste is composted.

In addition to that, we’ve also teamed up with Ecologi. Every month they plant trees and invest in climate projects on our behalf which means we now have a climate positive workforce – yippee! It also means we have our very own forest – you can take a look at that here.

What we’re working on

We’re aware that there’s always more to do so we’re also working on the following:

  • changing our bank to an ethical bank that positively impacts people and the planet
  • switching cars from petrol to electric
  • changing our web hosting to one that’s powered by renewable energy.
